PORTLAND POLICE BALL OCT 3rd 09

The band recently performed for the 6th year straight at thePortland Police annual ball. 500 tickets sold and some serious money made for the Blue Ribbon foundation. A special thanks to both - Bob & Noel. The crowd were as always in full swing and enjoying both Kartoon and the Wonder Years.

Our newest adventure in coverband land is our "Back to the 70's & 80's show". The show has found momentum and is getting alot of enquiries and bookings.

Kartoon would like to officially welcome aboard the services of Mr. David "Pickles" Picone. David ia an accomplished musician with an extensive background in the music industry. David is the current lead singer of the "Beach Balls - Summer hits show". Myself, Cassie & Steve are now working along side David in his "Beach Balls show

Well it turned out to be a big year in 2008. With such an assortment of varied shows it is hard to say which one really stood out. I would like to thank both Wayne Sutton @ Rich River Golf Club & Paul Lawrence @ Barooga Sports Club for their overwhelming hospitality in December, that was not only shown to myself and family, but to the whole band as well.

NYE @ the St Albans sports club was a huge success for the "Back to the 70's & 80's" show. A big thanks to Des & staff for making the night a memorable one. It was so good that Des has asked us back this year, and who could refuse? See you @ the ST ALBANS SPORTS CLUB on NYE 2009 if not before!!!!!!

Still my major 2008 Highlight was that I got to meet Suzanne Vega on her Australian tour, Suzanne has been my favourite artist since her first album in 1984. She was as gracious as she sounds. What a memorable moment it will remain xxxx
